Challenge

Maintaining plumbing infrastructure across a major sporting and entertainment precinct presents unique operational challenges. The site supports millions of annual visitors, hosts a diverse calendar of events and relies on essential services performing consistently under varying demand conditions.

Compounding this complexity, NPS assumed responsibility for the contract with no formal handover process and limited existing asset intelligence. To effectively support the precinct, the team needed to quickly establish visibility of critical infrastructure while maintaining uninterrupted service delivery from day one.

Service delivery

NPS mobilised within two weeks, rapidly establishing maintenance operations while simultaneously undertaking a comprehensive asset verification program across the precinct.

Over the first three months, more than 1,650 plumbing assets were captured, verified and assessed, creating a reliable foundation for maintenance planning and future investment decisions. This asset intelligence enabled the development of tailored preventative maintenance programs designed to improve reliability and support long-term performance.
